Arizona Grand Resort’s Oasis Water Park Opens Season With Big Splash
First 100 guests on opening day receive free ICEE to celebrate Arizona’s 100th birthday
The Oasis is expected to be the first water park in Arizona to open for the season, and is the only private water park in the region exclusive to resort guests. Rates begin at $179 per night through May 20 with the promo code PROGAD, and reservations can be made online or by calling (866) 267-1321.
“Arizona truly is ‘grand,’ and we wanted to show its grandness by doing a little something extra for our guests in honor of Arizona’s centennial,” said Paul Gray, Arizona Grand Resort general manager.
The park will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday from Feb. 18 through March 15 and from April 10 through May 24. During typical spring break season—March 16 through April 9—Oasis will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day (the lazy river and slides will close at 6 p.m.). Summer hours for Oasis will be 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day from Memorial Day weekend (May 25) to Labor Day (Sept. 3). The park will extend its run into late summer, from Sept. 4 through Sept. 30, open on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
To help get guests in the spring break spirit, Arizona Grand will also offer nightly themed buffets, water-themed dive-in movies and live entertainment—all poolside from March 16 through April 9—as part of its Island Nights guest experience. Movies are kid-friendly and include popular hits like “Finding Nemo” and “The Little Mermaid,” and the whole family can feast on dishes including Honey Stung Fried Chicken and Pineapple Upside Down Cake before hitting the dance floor and jamming to today’s hits, or even trying their hand at the limbo, hula hoop and water balloon toss.
The Oasis Water Park has been voted by the Travel Channel as one of the country’s top 10 water parks and features an eight-story tower with three thrilling water slides, a gigantic wave pool, a relaxing lazy river, a 25-person hot tub and “Wild Cat Springs” pool with water jets for younger children. Pool-goers don’t have to venture far to replenish their fuel tanks. The Oasis Bar & Grill is just steps away and offers assorted appetizers, burgers, salads, sandwiches, frozen treats and spirits.
