The Resort

My husband and I booked this as a place to stay for a concert in Tempe. I wish we'd brought the kids and stayed longer! This is a very nice resort and our one bedroom suite was very comfortable. The water park looked fabulous! And the spa is far enough removed from it to be tranquil. I don't play golf but the course was beautiful and the views from the hotel restaurant were very peaceful. My husband and I had breakfast on the patio overlooking the golf course and the food was excellent and creative. The atmosphere was very relaxing.

This is our second stay at the resort and each time we are extremely impressed. The most spectacular treatment begins the moment that you arrive at this impeccably clean and beautiful resort with the most wonderful, friendly and courteous service that you could imagine. We were here because of the Nike Championship Basketball Tournament, but we may as well have been the Phoenix Suns basketball team because they seemed to know our names wherever we went throughout the resort. Attendants were eager to help carry the smallest bag or give you rides on the mobile carts, and ask if you have visited all of their amenities or offer their suggestions for fun near the resort. They genuinely were interested in our having a great time. The business center was an excellent experience this year thanks to the superb customer service of the attendant I was able to get some time sensitive documents for work. Our basketball team was so impressed with the conference center and water fountain that appeared to be out of a movie set. Finally I travel about 70% of the time in my professional career. This would be my favorite place. I look forward to coming here in the summer to really check out all of their fantastic amenities.

Just got back home tonight from a long weekend here. The first appeal is its proximity to the airport. The second is the stunningly beautiful entrance. The third is that we never encountered an unpleasant employee. We booked a villa for $239/night and were fortunate enough to get a third story room on the 1st tee box. Beautiful! Had a corner room and the view was gorgeous (villa V302). It was a remarkable bargain for what we paid.

The grand resort in arizona was the best bang for your buck!!! It was so affordable and so so fun!!! First of all it is so beautiful, we were so excited when we pulled up the the hotel,and then it just got better, the staff made you feel like royalty, and the decor when we walked into the lobby was so lovely!! The room was so nice, and our daughter loved the water park!!! The fitness center was brand new and huge, great workouts there!! And we loved the hikes in the hills, all kinds of trails, and very scenic. Food was great too!! We will be back for sure!! - the strother family

Had a very good suite. The resort is so convenient for travellers into Sky Harbour as it is an easy 15 minutes drive. The staff are all excellent - very friendly and helpful. We ate at both Aunt Chiladas and the Rustlers Rooste. The food was very good and the bonus was that whilst they are in the resort, they are separate so it is more like eating in a local restaurant rather than a large hotel. The golf course was a good test and fun to play, and we wished our schedule allowed us to play it more than once. Would thoroughly recommend it and will stay there again

Traveled to the Arizona Grand Resort with my wife who had a conference there. We arrived at the resort a few hours ahead of the check-in time, but we were able to get a room upon our arrival. We were upgraded to a villa room, which was greatly appreciated! I would have been disappointed if we weren't provided with an upgrade -- the upgrade shows that the resort cares about the guests.

Our villa room had an amazing view of the golf course and waterfall area (slept with our balcony door open every night to hear the water) -- it was also very nicely decorated, had a refrigerator and microwave, and a very comfortable bed. I recommend buying some groceries at the Fry's less than .5 miles away on Baseline (not the one across from the resort as that is a Fry's Electronic store). Again, the villa room was exceptional! We liked the villa room so much that I researched the cost of purchasing one.

The early check-in provided us with an opportunity to use the waterpark -- we certainly enjoyed it!! It was only open for that day (Saturday) during our stay. The water park was a very nice amenity for the resort guests -- we are already thinking about returning when it is open more. I like the fact that it is only open for resort guests!

The other amazing aspect of this resort was the fitness facility -- the best I have ever seen at a resort. It easily compares to any private workout facility out there. Shooting baskets was a nice break. I wanted to use other aspects, but decided to be lazy instead. We didn't use the spa so I cannot comment on that area. We also enjoyed the fire pit areas outside of the main lobby -- very nice section to relax at.

We have stayed at some other resorts in the Phoenix area (e.g., Camelback Inn) and the Arizona Grand Resort, with a villa room, certainly compares favorably to the others. The only area of improvement would be to have some floats available to use at the pool areas. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We were here as part of a large conference. The hotel staff went out of their way to be fast, efficient, and friendly. They could break down a room faster than any group I've seen.

The resort is beautiful. The water park is fun, and there are multiple pools on the property. Things are a little spread out, but the walk is easy and the layout makes sense once you've been here a day or so. There are plenty of conference breakout areas. We were originally scheduled to be in the Moutainside Villas, but requested a change to Sedona as it was closer to the conference center. They made the change quickly and were very friendly about doing so.

When we signed up for the conference, we thought the price was a little high, but we were pleased with where we stayed. Housekeeping staff were great and also friendly.

We went over for our daughters graduation and decided to look for a 4 or 5 star resort closer to campus and where she is living. We were offered to upgrade to a new Villa and after taking a look, we did. It was amazing. Facing the golf course, ponds and waterfalls, and yet close to the water park. It was right next to the freeway and baseline road but you couldn't hear a sound due to the surrounding hills and golf course. We had been staying up at Camelback area the last few visits at great resorts but this was a fraction of the cost and the Villa's are as good as any other 5 star we have stayed at.

The place was spacious and gorgeous, well kept rooms and the water park was so relaxing and a lot of fun! The meals and views were great too. We are looking forward to our next trip back to Arizona, and will stay at the Grand Resort for sure!

I reserved a room at the AZ Grand Resort Oct 2-3 for my daughters 13th Bday, it was the last weekend the waterpark was opened. We had her cousins come join us at the waterpark Sat & Sun, the resort gave us 2 complimentary passes to the park, I'm still sore from the slides, we played pool bball/volleyball, wave pool, lazy river, had a super time. The waterpark was the highlight. Staff was great & attentive.

RUSTLER'S ROOSE is a must, we all had a blast, great food their ribs rock! Awesome view of the valley, we had the best waiter "Bobby" the kids loved him. Overall my daughter had a great & memorable 13th Bday!

We were looking for a fun weekend getaway (we live in Tucson) and friends suggested the Arizona Grand Resort. What a great place. Outstanding water park, golf, spa, comfortable and clean rooms, great service, delicious food! We will be back for sure.

Absolutely LOVED the Arizona Grand! The room was beautiful and clean. The only things I noticed was that the safe was not left open and there was no remote for the tv in the bedroom. That didn't bother us at all......we never even turned the tv on! The grounds are beautiful and the balcony off the bedroom was great!

The location of theArizona Grand is so convenient. I have a tough time with directions but the resort made sure I had good ones.
The check in was easy and pleasant.

It was our first trip to Arizona and I hope to make it back there someday!!! I hope to go at a different time of year....September in AZ is HOTTTTT!
All in all a great experience!!!

This mini vacation for my family from 3 states, was just wonderful. Staff treated us like royality and I've never slept in a more comfortable bed. I wasted half the day sleeping until 9:45 Sunday morning!!

Our dining experience was great. Super buffet. Restaurant personnel were delightful. Desk staff and bell boys were great also.
The views were nice as well as the waterpark was a blast. Grounds were very well kept and so quiet.

I would love to stay again. Thank you for a real treat.

I love this hotel. We were treated like VIP through our whole stay! When I arrived I was pleasantly surprised when I saw this hotel. The room was so clean and had obviously been newly modeled. The breakfast was great. We loved the food and the view was so nice. I went to the spa and it was so relaxing. We then went to the water park and had a blast with our kids. I really loved this hotel the staff was so accommodating. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends and family!

We booked the great summer rates of $99 for my daughter and her friends to stay at the Resort. At that rate I could book two suites and let her have her own with her friends to feel more grown up. We visited the SPA and the waterpark. She felt like a princess and weather mid September was simply beautiful. The staff were wonderful, professional and friendly. She will never forget her 13th birthday thank you Arizona Grand. The suites are huge very comfortable although I feel sorry for the poor cleaner who had to clean my daughter's room after she and her friends were done...!!!!

We love Arizona Grand. The location is great, and there is lots to keep you busy with the multiple pools, places to eat, and waterpark all right on site. Then if you want to go off site, there is a great mall only blocks away, with many more restaurants in the area as well. We have stayed there twice, and had great service both times. We LOVE the Rustlers Roost, it has a great view, and wonderful food, with a very fun atmosphere. We also are a family of allergies, and the restaurants were very accomodating. We will for sure be back for another stay!

August 21, 2010-It has been a little over a week since we have been home from our Stay-cation at the Arizona Grand Resort. This was not our first time staying at the resort, we try to make it there for a family weekend at least once a year. We are still talking about our visit. We have some dear friends that also like the Arizona Grand, yet we are never able to go at the same time. This year we made a pact that we were going together.  We both have daughters about the same age so we were looking forward to a great time. 

When we got there we were greeted by very friendly staff, we waited in line to get our rooms and the relaxation was starting to already set in. We were all ready for a fun time.  When we got to our adjoining rooms we realized that there was a maintenance issue in our room. I do not consider this the fault of the resort, things do break. The only reason that I would be an unhappy guest is the way that that the situation was being handled.

In this case I was not an unhappy guest.  

I called the front desk and in a few minutes someone was at our door working on the issue. It was determined that this was not going to be a quick fix. I contacted the front desk and spoke to the Manager, Ryan Moyer and explained the situation. He was all about making sure that we were taken care of.   I explained to him that we had our best friends in the next room and that we would need to move together as this was a group trip.  He asked if he could call me back after he had a solution for us.

A few minutes later, Ryan called and said that he was going to be moving us and that a bell-person would be coming up to move all of our luggage. A few minutes later a friendly staff member came with our new room keys and we were off.

Ryan apologized for the problem in our room and said we would be happy where we were being moved to. We were, the rooms are great and we actually were a bit closer to the park. Ryan got us rooms that were attached which really made for a fun time. 

The service was outstanding! You can tell that the staff really cares about the guests. I am surprised by some of the reviews that said the staff was rude because we experienced nothing but hospitable, friendly and over-the-top service throughout the entire complex.  We all enjoyed our breakfast in the restaurant. The majority of our group are all "Bacon Freaks" the bacon that was served with our breakfast was delicious! It was not your typical thin as paper bacon, it was thick, crisp bacon.

The price for the breakfast was very reasonable. The fresh squeezed orange juice was not served in a 4 ounce glass, which I appreciated. The small loaf of bread served with my breakfast was a nice touch.

The water slides are so much fun, this time we decided that this was going to be a very relaxing "lazy River" adventure.  I will say that as a parent, I appreciated and noticed the park's attention to safety. They had plenty of people working around the slides, the pools and the beach and the lazy river. Also, this is a very clean water park, usually I am not a fan of water parks because they don't seem very clean to me.  The water was so clean and clear, it was great. This was a fun and relaxing Stay-cation. I left the resort relaxed and in a great mood and ready to attack my Monday. The Arizona Grand Resort was a great experience!

We all cant wait till next year to do it again.

We stayed in the JR suite and it was very nice, comfortable and clean. I would highly recommend this resort. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Excellant service in the lobby bar. I recommend stopping in for a bloody mary.

10th year to visit Arizona (Prescott Valley) Last minute "trip" included 2 children (9 & 13) myself and my brother (the uncle). From the moment the first staff member said "hello" I knew that we were going to have a great get away. Food was great - best veggie burger I've had to date (pool side) plus portions were plenty. Everything was well maintained and I think customer service is A+ we are looking forward to returning and making this part of our annual trip.

This was our third stay at the Arizona Grand (the first time being under Pointe South Mountain Resort). My kids can not stop talking about the great time they had and how nice everyone was at the resort. The rental I was driving had a flat tire. A gentleman on a golf cart showed up right away (without calling) and helped changed the tire, including taking it back to their shop and airing it up. While we were waiting on him to return, we had 3 additional employees stop and ask if we needed any assistance.

The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff working at the Oasis could not have been nicer. The pools were clean and well maintained. If the pricetag on the Villa Ownership was a bit lower, I would have bought while there... love it that much.

My family and I stayed at the Arizona Grand Resort for one night last week, and our stay, in a word, was INCREDIBLE. The staff was extremely friendly (Gisa at concierge especially), and from check in to check out we were helped in a timely, friendly, and professional manner. Our room was spacious and immaculately clean (we stayed in the villas, and had an amazing view of the golf course!), and we greatly enjoyed the quiet, luxurious accommodations. The beds are SO comfortable, and I slept better than I do at home even. The water park was fun, and not too crowded because we went in the middle of the week. The lazy river and the high speed slides were the highlights. The Arizona Grand is a spacious and beautiful resort, with lovely landscaping and staff who take pride in making each guest's stay special.

I would highly recommend a stay at the Arizona Grand Resort!

We only stayed here one night as we were wrapping up a trip in Arizona. The main attraction for us was the Oasis water park, as we have three small children. The resort far exceeded our expectations. It was great to be able to print our boarding passes right in the lobby as we checked in. Since we had a late afternoon flight, we were able to extend our checkout until 3pm (for only an additionaly $25) so we could stay and enjoy the park. My children loved the wave pool, river, kiddy area, and water slides. We could have stayed far longer in the Oasis than the 3 hours we allowed. Our suite seemed huge - separate living room and bedroom areas, each with its own television. We ordered pizza for dinner from room service. It was great not having to drag our kids out. There were always lots of staff members available to help with anything we needed. If we have the opportunity to visit Phoenix again, we will definately return here!

The one thing that struck me about our stay, was how friendly and helpful all of the employees were. They always asked did you enjoy this or that etc.
The resort is very clean, food was good and plentiful.
I loved the stay, and would highly recommend it to anyone!!

We wouldn't have changed a thing looking back at our stay at the AZ Grand Resort. The service in all areas, our accomodations at the Camelback, the food experienced throughout several dining areas and times of day were ALL wonderful . . . everything throughout the resort that time allowed us to enjoy was consistent with excellence.

We celebrated our mom's 80th birthday with a reunion of all the kids and grandkids from all over the country. Our stay in the Camelback Suites and Villas was spectacular. The rooms and grounds are impecable. The food was delicious and the friendly staff couldn't do enough for us! Everyone had a blast at the waterpark and the rest of the facilities were just as enjoyable. We highly recommend this Resort. We will be back!!!!!!!!!

We loved it! The rooms are all suites, nicely and recently redecorated, the gym is wonderful, the spa is too, the grill off the main lobby offers excellent fare, the golf course is beautiful and challenging for good golfers, the grounds are lovely, there is a fabulous water park, great for the family. We were very pleased. It''s located on a giant mountain park where there is practically unlimited hiking, too.

For a leisure trip, since relaxation was well deserved and needed, this resort certainly filled the bill! The wonderfully comfortable beds, the super soft high thread count sheets, and the well appointed surroundings encouraged sleep, relaxation, and just plain enjoyment. You must try their two egg breakfast accompanied by three different delicious home made jams and your very own small loaf of toasted bread! Along with excellent service what more could one ask for? The fit for a king treatment topped the experience!

I recently had a girl's weekend at the Arizona Grand Resort, we stayed in one of the Villa's and it was wonderful. We loved the villa and the views were outstanding, the grounds are magnificent!! We have stayed several times at the Grand but the Villa was the best ever! The staff was friendly and professional, they all seem to really enjoy their jobs and are very helpful. We are already planning our next trip. I would recommend the Grand to all my friends.

We decided for our anniversary to do a stay-cation versus going out of town since we have a 3 month old. We were upgraded to the villas and they are fabulous!! So roomy and it had a great view of the golf course!! We didn't really do much other than stay in our room since it was one night but it was a blast. We have stayed a couple of times now and each visit is wonderful.

We traveled to Arizona for the Fiesta Bowl...Go Broncos. Yea, we are from Idaho and found it hard to return home after being treated so well by the staff. We played golf during the down time from the bowl activities and I must say it is a fantastic course. Will come back during the season the water park is open for the family to enjoy. Did I mention the beds were nice and soft and slept like a baby all four nights. Thanks again to the Arizona Grand for helping our trip to the fiesta Bowl perfect!

I had the pleasure of staying at The Arizona Grand at the beginning of December and all I can say is "wow what a fabulous resort"! My mom, my 2 young children and I arrived late and were exhausted! We were greeted warmly by the front desk staff and then personally escorted to our room. We were happily surprised to find a huge basket of games for the kids to play (Candyland, Uno, Shutes and Ladders, and more). I have stayed at a lot of hotels with the kids and this was the first time we have encountered this-what a wonderful idea! We had a great time playing games before bed.

The beds were SO comfortable and the room was in fantastic condition, clean, great towls, linens, amenities. Unfortunately we had to leave early for the airport but I was releived to learn that Sky Harbor Airport is very close by- was like a 10 minute drive and didn't even have to get on the freeway!

Although we weren't able to enjoy the pool and restaurants this time, we stayed here back in the summer and had a blast! The water park area is amazing!!! Great for all ages, clean, attentive staff, great food. We also ate at Rustlers Roost which you should definitely make time to try, very fun experience and yummy food. My favorite is Aunt Chilada's which has terrific Mexican Food. I would highly recommend this resort anytime of the year- fantastic!
